In real life, The Foodguyde is called Arno. Arno was born in The Netherlands, somewhere in the 1970s. He moved to Spain in 2020 when he and his wife bought a hostel on the famous Camino to Santiago. He first discovered Pamplona in 2009 when he was cycling the camino, followed by several visits when walking the camino.

Pamplona is one of those special towns that reveal themselves over time. Even locals who live in Pamplona their whole life, can still discover new venues or snacks! Being Dutch, Arno sees the local habits, culture and gastronomy through the eyes of a foreigner. So even after living in Pamplona for quite some time, he is still positively surprised every now and then.

One of the reasons why Arno likes Spain is the quality of the food. Not being a major carnivore, he can really appreciate how tasty the Spanish fruits and vegetables are. But of course Spain also excels in meat and seafood. Add to this the huge amount of quality wines and a foodie like Arno could not be happier in any other country.

The Foodguyde is registered with the Turismo de Navarra under number UETC0137.
